This is a guideline itinerary for your course but please note the program is dependent on the ability of your group and weather conditions, so may change accordingly. We have three phases in our program Discovery, Exploration, and Connection and sharing.

Discovery Phase – 1st Day

The Discovery phase is time for you to get to know your team, instructors and surrounding area. You will also set yourself goals to achieve through the week and for the future. This fun day will help you connect and bond with your new team setting the ground work for the week.

Exploration Phase – 2nd – 5th Day

Through participating in the activities, you will get the opportunity to explore yourself, the environment and the new friendships in your team. This will prepare you for the challenges of the expedition which involves walking in the wilderness to your campsite. Planning, problem solving, decision making and independence are a few of the skills you will develop. This will push your comfort zones and help you build a healthy inner resilience to help face challenges in the future as you take on the challenges of the activities.

Connection and sharing Phase – 6th Day

Reflection on the days that have passed and celebrate your success through sharing your experience with your group and Instructors.

Shark’s kids it’s all about building your confidence, independence and skills to support you to get ahead, regardless of your starting position. It includes challenging expeditions, which often take place on steep terrain, plus you’ll be expected to carry your own kit throughout. It’s therefore advisable that you have a reasonable level of fitness to take part.
