Paulo is the director and co-owner of the company. Portuguese. Over 25 years in the outdoors,  professional/vocational training and expeditions. Was technical director in the first rafting company in Portugal, director of the 3 first 500km adventure races, national team member in the Eco Challenge, coordinator for Outward Bound and owns 2 adventure companies in different countries.
  Severine is the sales manager. Swiss. She is a co-owner of the company. After a busy life in the Swiss corporate world, coaching snowboard and wake surf. She fell in love with the Portuguese climate and way of life.  Moved to Portugal and joined the company.
  Monica is our Technical Director. Portuguese. MSc in Sports Education, she is responsible for the daily running of all our structures and sports staff.
  Tess Is the manager of the Restaurant and Bar. Half Dutch, half Portuguese. MSc in Communication and Argumentation, she oversees all the concept of our restaurant and bar.
  Ophelie is the hotel manager. She started working as a receptionist and now she runs the hotel and all things related. Half French, half Portuguese. She has experience and skills in social communication, social media and marketing.
  Carlos is our Head Coach for surfing. Portuguese. Over 30 years of surfing, started together with Paulo, lived in the same street since childhood, went to the same school, owned a bar together  and after some years both work together again in Sharks.
  Peter is our course director. South African. His passion for adventure started in the mountains of Lesotho, leading to a successful career in adventure/outdoor education, spanning over 25 years and several countries. With near completion of a MSc in Outdoor Education, Peter believes in bringing adventure, people and nature closer together combining technical skills with social and personal development.

All of our guests have free access to our swimming pools and outdoor terraces, where they can relax and simply enjoy the Portuguese 300+ days of sun.

The closest airport to Peniche is in Lisbon, about 90Km from our location. From Lisbon it’s possible to travel to Peniche by car (about 1h00) or by bus (about 1h30).

From Lisbon To Peniche:

By car – Take the A8 Highway direction to Leiria. Stop at the tool to colect a ticket and pay on the next tool. Drive towards Peniche exiting via the IP6 off-ramp. At the third roundabout (Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem), take the first exit, towards Baleal. After 1km you will find the urbanization Sol Village II, turn right, at the roundabout take the third exit and you will arrive.

By bus – Take the Express Bus (Rede Expressos) at Praça Marechal Humberto Delgado. Address – Rua das Laranjeiras 1500-543 Lisbon. Usually, there are departures to Peniche every 2 hours. If you are somewhere in Lisbon you can catch the Subway to the bus terminal, the station is Jardim Zoológico on the blue line. Arriving at the bus terminal of Peniche are 25 min walk to us.





In Peniche, the summer has a nice weather, dry and almost cloudless. In June, July, August and September the temperature of the air changes from 14ºC minimum to 28ºC maximum and the water temperature is around 18ºC.

March, April, May, October and November are the mildest months. The air temperature changes from 10ºC to 22ºC and the water temperature is around 16ºC.

The winter is colder, with precipitation, winds and partially overcast sky. In December, January and February the temperature of the air changes from 8ºC minimum to 17ºC maximum and the water temperature is around 14ºC.
